New And Improved NewsLetter, Make Sure To Sign Up

Posts Posted by Steve under Announcements on Tuesday, August 19th, 2008 5:54 pm

A newsletter is an often overlooked valuable website asset. It allows you to capture your visitors and communicate with them when they are away from your site. You are able to keep your visitors informed and enable them to keep your brand fresh in their minds. The old SimplyGeo newsletter was a crappy plugin that I did not care for much and abandoned.

I am now using Aweber.com and highly recommend it to anyone who has a site online with or without a newsletter.

There are a variety of cool features you can do with this service. The key feature that sold me is the option to build multiple email campaigns that can be installed on a network of websites. Additionally, you can add the same code to all of your network and blast your complete community with the newsletter. You must check out all the features they offer that can bring true value to your website. A valuable tool for those who understand the power of a newsletter.

Unfortunately, I was not able to download the large subscriber base from the crappy newsletter plugin I used. So, make sure to sign up again to receive the SimplyGeo.com newsletter. Our goal is to create a newsletter that is a valuable asset to subscribers. If you have any suggestions of what you would like to see in it, please send me an email through the contact form on the advertising section.

SimplyGeo.com Redesign

Posts Posted by Steve under Announcements on Tuesday, August 19th, 2008 5:00 pm

SimplyGeo.com has been redesigned to deliver a modern blogging platform for visitors and readers of the blog.  I have been extremely busy working on many things in the back ground and thought it was important to redesign the blog to meet the evolution of the fast growing Geo Domain Industry.

There are a variety of features added that will make for a better experience for readers.  The post text has been increased to reduce the strain on your eyes when reading long posts. The blogroll and topics now have a drop down menu uncluttering the side bar. A quote of the day app has been added to help with keeping readers motivated.  We have added a variety of new advertising positions on the blog as well.  My favorite being the peel away ad.  Most of the good stuff is on the back end making it easier to do my job as blogger.

The new look of SimplyGeo.com will take a little while to get used to, as it is very loud and modern. However, I feel that we are making the right move with this redesign as the Geo Domain Industry blog.

Let us know your opinions, good or bad. I will definitely use them to improve the quality of the blog.

Thank you for your continued support!

Rob Grant Interview - Real Estate & Geo Domains - WebMasterRadio.fm

My good friend Rob Grant was recently interviewed on WebmasterRadio.FM on 23 July.  Rob is the Geo Realestate King of the industry.  He has some great information to offer on how he built his empire and the future of realestate geo domains.  I advise readers to take notes and listen to this informative podcast.

Realestate Geo Domains will become some of the most valuable domains as the industry matures.  Really, most large realestate companies still do not understand how powerful these brands are at this time.  It is amazing that in 2008, the biggest industry taking the internet by storm, still does not completely understand the value of these geo domains.

As I have stated many times, the industry is maturing and pioneers like Rob are doing a fantastic job getting the word out to the masses.  If you would like to chat with Rob, you can reach him on GeoDomainer.com.

Catching Up On The Fast Growing Geo Domain Industry

Posts Posted by Steve under General on Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 9:56 pm

One thing is certain, the Geo Domain Industry has not stop growing since I stopped blogging over 3 weeks ago. This is really great news to see how all of this is evolving from a nearly non existent industry, into a main stream industry in 8 months time.

There are a variety of emails I have received on the geo domain industry over the weeks that I will post and comment on. Though they are old announcements, none of them have hit the blogging community SMO style. :)

I have quite a bit of catching up to do, so please bare with me as a rewind the clock a bit and make my way to the present. It is important to blog about these events for historical purposes so we can look back years from now and see how things evolved in the Geo Domain Industry.

I would like to remind readers that they can submit content they come across to info(@)simplygeo.com. Also I welcome readers to guess post on topics of interest.

Thank you for your continued support.

Alive And Well, And Back To Blogging

Posts Posted by Steve under General on Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 9:18 pm

As many of you already know, I like to share my personal intimate thoughts and experiences with readers. Sometimes they are appropriate, and other times they are not. However, that is one of the perks of having your own blog. Owning your own blog enables you to share anything you wish to share with your readers which can be very therapeutic at times.

There are a variety of issues I am working through at this point in my life. They have really drained me emotionally and mentally. The next 2 weeks will be filled with more drama and stress. However, there is always light at the end of every tunnel, and soon I will reach that point.

I took an unexpected break from blogging for 3 weeks and I felt like I was missing a big part of “ME” during this time. Blogging seems to keep me grounded when times are rough and in general. There is something unique and therapeutic about connecting with friends and strangers through a blog. There is no doubt that I am glad to be back and communicating.

I will tell you that there are many challenges in life that will alter your mindset if you allow those challenges to do so. They come out of the blue and strike like a full blown hurricane causing damage and Havoc. Then as suddenly as they appeared, they disappear and blue skies appear. During these times, if you have not built a solid foundation before the storm for your business, relationship, or personal life, all that you have built will be blown away.

It is important to plan and build these foundations equally, as best as possible, in the event a storm arises. I will be doing a series of posts titled “The Perfect Storm” in the coming weeks for your reading pleasure.

I am glad to rejoin the community. Please forgive me for my absence.

I would like to thank all of you for sending emails. A special thanks to Elliot and Andrew.

Sincerely,
Steve
